Korea travel #7. Yeongjongdo, Incheon: 5 Restaurants and cafes You Wonโ€™t Regret (Part 2)

In this post, I want to introduce some of the delicious restaurants and cozy cafes I’ve visited on Incheon’s Yeongjongdo.

It’s a bit unfortunate that I didn’t visit with the purpose of blogging, and since I’ve been going there with friends for leisure for a while, I don’t have many photos. If you read my posts, you might notice there aren’t many food pictures. I’m not the type to take food photos; I even forget to take them when I travel abroad because I’m too busy enjoying the food. ๐Ÿคฃ

However, since I started running my blog recently, I’ve been making an effort to take food photos too, haha. It’s also proof that I’m not posting this for advertising purposes. I would appreciate your understanding. Instead, I’ll attach photos of the views from the restaurants! Even if there are no food photos, please refer to the link.

Yummy places Near Yeongjongdo Wharf in Incheon

There are many delicious restaurants and cafes around the Yeongjongdo Wharf.

With numerous options such as seafood noodle soup, ramen, spicy cockle bibimbap, shrimp tempura, and bakery cafes, you’ll have plenty to choose from.

Just keep in mind that this area can be quite crowded.

i. ๋ฐ”๋‹ค์•ž ํ…Œ๋ผ์Šค (Badaap Terrace)

Badaap Terrace is a bakery cafe located on the 5th and 6th floors of the building, and if you manage to secure a good spot, you can enjoy a fantastic ocean view. They offer a wide variety of bread, but it’s more geared towards desserts. The cafe is beautifully decorated, so I recommend checking it out. (However, it can get very crowded, and you might not find a seat.

ii. ๋ฐ”๋‹ค์•ž ๊ผฌ๋ง‰์ง‘ (Badaap Ggomak Jib)

Badaap Ggomak Jib is a restaurant that serves the pictured cockle bibimbap. It can get quite crowded, and you may have to wait in line. It’s a bit spicy but delicious. The shrimp fritter that comes as a set is also very tender and tasty, so it’s worth a visit.

iii. ์ž์—ฐ๋„ ์†Œ๊ธˆ๋นต (Jayeondo Sokeum Bbang)

Jayeondo sokeum bbang is a bakery that specializes in salted butter rolls, and they only offer takeout service. However, just being in the vicinity, you’ll be drawn by the enticing aroma of delicious bread. Salted butter roll is very popular in Korea these days, and among the salted bread I’ve tried, the bread from this shop is the most delicious. It’s incredibly soft and has a wonderful flavor because they use a generous amount of butter. You can only purchase it in sets of 4, and it costs 12,000 won for four.

(The three mentioned places above are all located in the same building.)

vi. ๊ณ ๋ž˜ํ•ด๋ฌผ์นผ๊ตญ์ˆ˜ (Gorae Haemul Kalguksu)

Here is a restaurant that serves seafood kalguksu (Noodle soup with seafood). I did enjoy it, but to be honest, I think you can find decent-tasting seafood kalguksu anywhere. If this place is crowded, it’s okay to try other nearby places.

v. ์นดํŽ˜ ํ‰์ƒ์ธ (Cafe Pyeongsang-in)

Cafe Pyeongsang-in is also a bakery cafe. It is located right by the seaside, allowing you to enjoy beverages and pastries while looking at the ocean. The cafe is quite spacious, so you’re unlikely to have trouble finding a seat.
